  By the time he returned with her coffee in a hotel mug, she was limp as a noodle. Even the stinging on her ass had abated. Sam handed her the mug then eased himself into the tub behind her. Abbie sipped on the hot coffee, sighing as its heat spread through her body.

  He reached down to pick up a small bottle he’d placed next to the tub, uncapped it and squeezed some of the lotion into the palm of his hand.   Her pulse raced. “Here? You’ll be here?”

  “Uh huh. That’ll give us a chance to really see if this thing is what we think it is. How does that sound?”

  She laughed softly. “That sounds really good to me.”

  “But first I thought we’d have a leisurely breakfast, fool around a little, and tonight you can go to my friend’s wedding with me. Get a feel for who and what I am. And my friends. Think you could go along with that?”

  “I’d need to stop by my place and change clothes.” She jabbed him lightly with her elbow. “Especially since I need to get a new thong.”
